Practice your backhand surrounded by breathtaking landscapes in Germany, Austria, Hungary and beyond!

This fast-growing sport is sweeping through North America and now you can get in on the action during your European vacation.

Available for teams of two at select times during the day, pickleball is an incredible way to enhance your best self and get some fresh air up on the Sun Deck while connecting with fellow cruisers on board.

The pickleball court may be open while AmaMagna is sailing – weather permitting and in the absence of passing underneath low bridges. It will also be open when the ship is docked during the daytime, weather permitting.

State-of-the-art pickleball paddles are available. Closed-toe athletic shoes and signed waiver are required before use on board.

This trip was the best adventure I have ever experienced. Playing pickle on shore with the locals was fantastic! Language was no barrier, all you need are smiles and fingers for score. This past month I had the honor to be on the Amadeus Star inaugural Pickleball & Classical Danube Riverboat Cruise, from May 18 - 27, 2023. What an amazing time we had, having the opportunity to combine our passions for pickleball and travel. We had a fabulous time with other players, who quickly became friends, as well as talented Hungarian players, including a national champion. This was a first class trip, well organized and executed.
