We are pleased to invite you to an exceptional Pickleball Retreat led by Beverly Hills Pickleball Instructors Rob Hutchins and Jerry Shandrew in the stunning locale of Los Barriles, Baja California, Mexico. (Just a 2 hours and 22 minute flight from Los Angeles).
This retreat offers participants a unique opportunity to enhance their skills through tailored group clinics, drills, live ball, and open play sessions at the Palmas Pickleball Resort. This premier destination features 24 brand-new, lighted permanent courts, a pro shop, and a restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, all situated adjacent to the luxurious Van Wormer Resorts.
In addition to a week of focused pickleball training, Rob and Jerry will host optional local excursions, including an ATV tour, a night out in Las Barriles, and a recovery yoga session (additional fees apply for excursions).

Rob Hutchins and Jerry Shandrew will be leading group clinics designed to enhance gameplay.
These clinics will include skill-level-based drills, organized live ball sessions, and opportunities for open play with the instructors.
To ensure quality instruction, we will maintain a maximum player-to-professional ratio of 8:1 for all organized group classes.

Rob comes from a competitive basketball background, playing at the collegiate level in Santa Barbara and overseas in Europe. He found Pickleball in late 2019 and has quickly progressed into a Professional player and is sponsored by SoCal local paddle brand Vatic Pro. After years of being a basketball trainer, Rob had a smooth transition into becoming a Pickleball instructor. Rob is certified by the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) and has taught independently and ran clinics before joining our team. Rob travels around the world playing and teaching pickleball and competes in tournaments year-round, including stops along the APP and PPA Pro tours. His love for this sport also influenced him to start his own pickleball lifestyle apparel brand, NVZ (Non-Volley Zone). Besides being sponsored by Vatic Pro and NVZ, Rob is also sponsored by athletic sleeve wear company Incrediwear.

Jerry was a member of the US Junior National Water Polo Team and went on to play college level water polo. He represented Team USA in Triathlons and competed in several 24 Hour Adventure Races. Jerry played tennis for 15 years, until picking up picklelball in 2019 and has not picked up his racquet since. In his first year competing, Jerry found himself medaling in his division on center court at the PPA Championships in Las Vegas. In Decemeber 2020, he competed at the US Nationals PIckleball Championships at the famed Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Most recently, he won 2 Gold Medals at the PPA Red Rock Open in Utah. Jerry represents Engage Pickleball and TEAM NVZ and is a member of the PPR and USAPA.
He graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business and started his own Public Relations firm with clients like Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and star Athlete Rob Gronkowski, Mark Walhberg, Josh Hartnett among others.
